Sree Sarada Mahila Vignana Samithi was established in 1952 by Smt.Karlapudi.Kamala Devi with a ambition to serve poor and needy people at Bapatla Town and surrounding villages in the field of education to poor people by establishing schools, colleges and crèche centers. Her husband Late Mr. Karlapudi. Venkateswarlu was founder of Bapatla Educational Society which is running Junior colleges, Arts & Science College, Engineering College, MCA and MBA colleges at Bapatla. Smt. Kamala Devi also served as first lady municipal councilor and first lady Vice Chair Person for Bapatla Municipality for 17 years from 1960. She also established this organization to serve the poor people with the cooperation of eminent personalities from Bapatla i.e.

Smt. Malladi Subbamma Garu eminent social worker, Polapragda. Rajya Lakshmi Garu are few to mention the committee members. This organization has served thousands of old people by providing food, clothes and shelter in the district since 1952 at free of cost who are deprived by their children and widows. Smt. Kala Devi Garu expired at the age of 94 on 23rd March 2008. As per her wishes Mrs. Gayatri and Her Husband Mr. B. Sampath Kumar is running the organization since last 4 years with the cooperation of Bapatla Town people successfully. We are running Old Age Home for 30 Old People, Day Care Centers for 50 Old People (One Time Meal) at Hanumanth Nagar, Suryalanka Road, Tailoring, Embroidery & Craft Training Center for 100 Girls irrespective of cast & religion and Two Crèche Centers for the age group of 2 years to 5 years. we are planning to start two additional schemes for poor people i.e. recite homes and drug de addiction centers and expanding old age home capacity to 100 old people. we have planned to construct permanent building for all the above services with and investment of Rs.2.00 crores. we are expecting donations from all corners of society and IT exemption also available for donors.
